BEATRIX ONG for English National Ballet

The partnership with the English National Ballet resulted in 3 shoes specially created for ENB (Ballet Glare, Swan Lake and Cinderella), 2 campaign shoots as well as 2 video campaigns.

DESIGNER and ballet aficionado Beatrix Ong has recreated her Glare style of shoe especially for the English National Ballet. "The English National Ballet has such an amazing worldwide reputation and a wonderful history. Like most art forms, the ENB relies on its supporters to maintain its objective to take classical ballet of the highest quality to the widest geographical audience - at a price everyone can afford. I feel it's important, especially in the current economic climate, to continue to offer support to these art forms in any way one can," explains Ong of her decision to bring back the design, this time in a Champagne, metallic leather - based on the colour of a pointe shoe. Sally Muckely, director of development at ENB, adds: "A dancer's feet are a truly amazing thing; they are such an important part of what makes a ballerina beautiful. Beatrix's shoes are perfect for hardworking dancer's feet as they are both comfortable and very stylish." Proceeds from the sale of the shoes will be donated to the English National Ballet, as Beatrix explains, to "help commission new work, restore and revive the great classical ballets that are the measure of this world-class company."
