An alumnus of Central Saint Martins, she earnestly began a career in fashion with rapid ascension – from a magazine intern at Harpers Bazaar, New York to creative director of Jimmy Choo at just 22 years old. 

In 2002, Beatrix Ong launched her eponymous shoe range, which quickly garnered significant attention and became available in the world’s most prestigious stores including Saks Fifth Avenue, Liberty, Luisa via Roma, and Dover Street Market (for which she developed an exclusive collection). Her collections landed her a place on the Independent newspaper’s Top 10 Leading Shoe Designers list, alongside Manolo Blahnik.

June of 2015 saw the launch of the highly anticipated new concept collection from Beatrix Ong, specially introduced with the Design Museum in London. The unisex and season-less collection sort to help reduce waste in the footwear manufacturing process.

Beatrix Ong shoes became part of the prestigious permanent collection of The Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

Ong’s work also featured in the acclaimed exhibition at the V&A: Shoes, Pleasure and Pain, which then toured worldwide for a further 4 years.
